The Institute for Mathematical Stochastics is looking for assistants for the 2026 summer semester for the following courses:
- Elementary Probability Theory and Statistical Data
- Stochastics
- Stochastic Lab Course
- Cycle II
There is an option to extend for the winter semester 2026/2027.

The IT system administration of the Institute for Mathematical Stochastics is looking for a tech-savvy student assistant with up to 40 hours per month to support the IT team as soon as possible.
Tasks:
- Support in 1st-level IT support (troubleshooting, user requests, basic workstation support)
- Assisting with packaging and deployment of software via OPSI Client Manangement System
- Support in administering macOS and Linux systems (including servers)
- Hardware and software installation, including documentation
- General assistance in day-to-day IT operations
Profile and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of macOS and Linux (terminal, basic system services, file and process management)
- Initial experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Software deployment, OPSI, scripting (Bash/Python)
- System or server administration
- IT support or networking
- Good German and English language skills
- Reliable, independent, and well-structured working style
- Enjoyment in solving technical problems and interacting with users
